>> 'American Idol's' Adam Lambert: If Clay Aiken wants to ride my coattails, good for him.
The "American Idol" smackdown continues as runner-up Adam Lambert responds to the harsh words Clay Aiken posted on his blog last week. "I don’t know Clay," Lambert recently told Acess Hollywood. "I’m glad he’s getting headlines now though, because he wasn’t before." Lambert’s snarky comment comes in response to a few choice words Aiken posted on his official blog last week about the "Idol" contender. Aiken began the post by confessing he only watched "Idol" once this season, where he tuned in to catch Lambert's original performance of Johnny Cash’s "Ring of Fire." Aiken wrote, "At that moment,I thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening." Quick to remedy the situation, Aiken fired off an apology a day later. "I do apologize to Adam for my colorful (and negative) choice of words. I hope he can forgive me," wrote Aiken. "I imagine he doesn’t give a damn! :-) God knows he shouldn’t." For Aiken’s sake, it appears Lambert took the high road, and didn’t pay too much attention to the comments. "If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him," Lambert quipped on Access Hollywood, offering a thumbs up sign to the camera. But it appears Aiken isn’t the only one with an opinion about Lambert. On a new episode of "The View," scheduled to air today, "Idol" newcomer judge Kara DioGuardi said that while the world may keep spectulating, there’s no way Lambert isn’t gay. When questioned by host Barbara Walters as to whether Lambert’s sexuality swayed voters’ opinions, DioGuardi responded, "Well, first of all, I hope not ... because we should be judging on talent and viability in the music industry and they both [Lambert and Allen] had that." DioGuardi continued, "I don't think that Adam Lambert was ever in the closet. I think he was always openly out." Though Lambert lost the title of "American Idol" to Kris Allen last week, he continues to make just as many headlines and is scheduled for a series of upcoming performances and a summer tour with the other top 10 finalists. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Haha actually i also dont know who is clay aiken after this incident! =) |
